Blue Train Cafe Melbourne – Dine To The Value of $100 for Just $40

April 15th, 2010 · Food and Alcohol

Caaake!

I’ll have a slice of that cake, that cake and that cake please.  Yum.

Righto Melbournians – fancy dining out at the Blue Train Cafe in Southgate, eating cake and enjoying the view of the city skyline and Yarra river?  Not a bad outlook.  Or if cake is not your thing, there’s always dinner, light snacks or drinks at the bar.

Available through Scoopon, you can dine at the Blue Train Cafe to the value of $100 for just $40.  Scoopon’s deals tend to run for 24 hours, sometimes longer.  This one ends tomorrow, (12 noon AEST) so if you’re either in Melbourne or going to be visiting, not a bad offer to take up.  The Blue Train is a popular hot spot at the moment and the restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.  I think a meal will cost you around $20.

Scoopon is valid 7 days a week from 17 April 2010 to 16 April 2011.  There’s a limit of 2 Scoopons per person and 4 diners per Scoopon.  If you’re interested, you would need to buy this offer within the 24 hours its available, but you won’t necessarily have to eat out at the restaurant immediately.  There will be an expiration date outlining by when the offer must be used.

Spotlight Voucher Spend $100 and Get $40 Off Storewide – Ends Sunday 18th April

April 15th, 2010 · Gifts and Gadgets, Jumble Box

Hey, I like the sound of this – if you spend $100 in store at Spotlight between now and Sunday 18th April, you’ll get $40 off.  That means your items in your basket that would ordinarily have cost you $100, will only end up costing you $60.

And all you need to do is present this voucher and your VIP card.  If you’re not a VIP member, don’t panic – just join up in store.  Costs you nothing, and the card will come in handy for future promotions, just like this one.

So what CAN you fill up your basket with that’ll come to $100?  There’s gifts, craft, bedlinen, cushions, outdoor tableware, ready to hang curtains, towels, decorations.

And what CAN’T you fill your basket with (as in exclusions):  items marked as clearance instore, sewing machines, gift card purchases, existing lay-by payments, custom made curtain and blind orders and payments.  Plus it’s not available in conjunction with any other voucher, coupon or staff discount.  Funny, the exclusions always seem to out weight the inclusions.  Or so it seems when written.

Regardless, the store is packed and I shouldn’t imagine spending $100 would be difficult.  I could walk down the craft isle and fill my basket as quick as a flash.

The Twilight Saga New Moon

Alright Twilight fans, here’s a chance to save some money on The Twilight Saga New Moon.

  • Big W have the 2 Disc DVD Special Edition for $19.99.  Normally you pay $34.99, so not a bad saving.

Have a look on the website - see what other goodies you can add to your collection.  The sale ends on the 18th April and you’re limited to two per customer, although I’m not sure how strictly Toys enforce this.

Bigpond Music and Games 40% Off $50 & $100 Giftcards – ends 19/04/10

April 14th, 2010 · Entertainment

I like the sound of buying gift cards for a discounted price.  And until 19th April, you can get 40% off $50 and $100 giftcards in store at Bigpond.

So instead of paying $50 for a gift card it will only cost you $30.
And the $100 gift card will only cost you $60.
Nice gift for someone perhaps?  You, even?  Oh, I mean, a friend maybe?  Goodness, must stop thinking it’s all about ourselves.  Well, hey, I guess we can when we’re the one forking out the doe.

If you choose to buy any games or music online, isn’t it good to know you’re going to get a 40% discount?  In fact, did you know that if you’re a Bigpond user, you’ll actually get an additional 10% off music?  Not sure if that extends to games, but if you’re a Bigpond user, you may already be aware of this.

As I said before, this offer finishes on 19th April.

** These cards can also be purchased at JB Hi-Fi – but remember, you will need to buy in store.
Also, just reading up on the Bigpond website, the prepaid BigPond Music cards purchased from retail outlets are usually valid for 6 months from the time of purchase (unless otherwise stated).  So if you’re being incredibly organised and buying for Christmas, you might want to re think that one.

Skincare Store Discount Code Plus Up To 50% Off Clearance Sale + Free Delivery

April 14th, 2010 · Health and Beauty

The Skincare Store has a clearance sale on at the moment.  There’s some nice savings to be had, with up to 50% off.  Plenty of different brands for you to choose from, including Dermalogica,  Neova, Neutrogena, Clarins, Elizabeth Arden, Peter Thomas Roth, Sundari, Topix, Ultraceuticals.  There are others, but I’ll save your eyes – probably easier to go to SkincareStore and check them out for yourself.

If you find there isn’t anything that takes your fancy in the Bargain Bin, another way to receive a discount is by registering to the website.  When you register for the first time, you’ll receive a 10% introductory discount on your first purchase.  A special discount code will immediately appear on the screen once you have signed up and you’ll need to enter that coupon at checkout.

I signed up with 2 different accounts, and both times given the same discount code:  INTRO10.  Oh, and there’s FREE DELIVERY for standard deliveries to Australia & NZ.  You’ll receive your goodies within 7-10 working days.
